"Oh, I have gobs and gobs of ideas, but... well, you dream things like that, and that's what these are, you know-my daydreams.”
When I was a kid, I loved to daydream. I’d imagine I was Ginger Rogers dancing with Fred Astaire, an orphan left to fend for her own in haunted woods, or a pioneer trekking across the plains. My mom collected old clothing from the 20th century and we called it the costume shop. We’d go in there, find a new hat, dress, and belt, and pretend we were somebody new.
My imagination led to loving to write stories, draw, act, and anything that let me keep playing and pretending. I moved cross country to study illustration. A year later, I moved to Mexico for 18 months as a missionary. I fell in love with the Mayan culture, the history, and the delicious food. If you’ve never tried a cochinita pibil taco, you’re missing out!
I interned in Buenos Aires, Argentina creating animated videos for the service volunteering platform, Just Serve. I was inspired by street fashion and the steak was incomparable! After graduation from BYU, I moved to California to work in animation. I made great friends and ate great Ramen, delicious street tacos, and tons of In-N-Out burgers.
Love took me to Lima, Peru, where I married the love of my life. We work all week and adventure on the weekends. If you ever find yourself in Peru, brace yourself for a culinary extravaganza! The food here is simply out of this world, a delight for every palate.
I invite you to join me on this extraordinary journey of imagination and exploration. From the wonders of my daydreams to the realities of the world, I aspire to infuse every moment with art, creativity, and unbridled curiosity. Together, let's celebrate the magic of life and the boundless beauty that surrounds us."
