In my pursuit of honing my drawing and observation skills, I made a simple yet powerful commitment: to use my sketchbook more whenever I'm out and about. Nowadays, I carry my sketchbook everywhere I go, ready to capture any captivating scene or intriguing detail that catches my eye.

But life isn't always that convenient. There are moments when whipping out my sketchbook is just not feasible, like when I'm on a packed subway, preparing to switch to another line, with a backpack weighing me down. Ironically, it's precisely during these instances when I encounter the most fascinating subjects that deserve to be immortalized on paper. It could be the boredom etched on a fellow passenger's face, the sharp jut of someone's cheekbone, or the vintage charm of a street performer in his paperboy style. 

So, what do I do when inspiration strikes and my sketchbook is out of reach? Simple. I've embraced the digital age and turned to my trusty notes app for a quick finger-drawing session. It might not be as refined as my traditional sketches, but it captures the essence of the moment, preserving those elusive sparks of creativity that might otherwise fade away. 

This finger-drawing habit has become a constant companion in my daily adventures. Whether I'm on the subway, belting out impromptu karaoke with my friends, or just cruising around the city in a car, I'm always prepared to document the world around me in my own unique way. 

You see, these moments of inspiration don't wait for the perfect time or place. They strike without warning, and if you don't seize them, they may slip away forever.
